The votes are in, and the locals have spoken. A Facebook post inviting locals to take part in a community vote has led to Yellowbelly Pizza in Brigg being named Best Local Pizza in a Scunthorpe Nights poll.
How the Pizza Poll Worked
Scunthorpe Nights, a voluntary not-for-profit network promoting local businesses across North Lincolnshire, posted on Facebook asking a simple question: "Where is the best local pizza in North Lincolnshire?" The post quickly gained traction, with locals suggesting their favourite pizza places. These suggestions were then turned into a public poll, allowing people to vote for their top choice.

How Yellowbelly Was Named Best Local Pizza
After the initial round of suggestions, the poll was narrowed down to the top five pizza venues. This final stage gave voters the chance to back their favourite all the way to the finish. Voting took place on 23rd March, with the winner announced on 27th March.
Final results were:
Yellowbelly Pizza (Brigg) – 423 votes
Deep Pan (Ashby) – 177 votes
Sicilians Pizza (Scunthorpe) – 141 votes
Trenta Pizza (Scunthorpe) – 77 votes
Three Horseshoes (Scotton) – 75 votes
With 423 votes, Yellowbelly Pizza was crowned the overall winner.
